“Θα Στο Φωνάζω Δυνατά” – A Song Inspired by Amimoni
In January 2023 the artist Maria Fragoudaki visited the Amimoni Association to meet the kids and their caregivers. She had given birth to her 3rd child a couple of months ago and she had just completed her first ArtActs4Kids initiative which supported the Amimoni association. Emotionally charged by being a new mom Maria Fragoudaki was deeply moved and inspired at the same time by the children and the unwavering dedication of the volunteers and caregivers who support them. Witnessing their immense everyday effort, their struggle, their strength and their love towards their caregivers she wrote the lyrics to “Θα Στο Φωνάζω Δυνατά”, the song that originated as a poem and was created to show her admiration and bring a connection and a sense of empowerment to their everyday lives.
Set to music by Alexandros Iakovou, the song was recorded in May 2023, featuring the voices of a children’s choir. It premiered during a special charity concert at the Athens Concert Hall, under the artistic direction of Dionysis Savvopoulos, with the participation of renowned artists. The event was a tribute to Amimoni’s 30 years of service, celebrating its invaluable work with children and adults who have visual impairments and additional disabilities.
More than just a song, “Θα Στο Φωνάζω Δυνατά” is a message of hope, strength, and togetherness.
