The three dimensional works titled “Pumping Bags” are part of the newest series I am currently working on (2020-2021) and they are connected to motherhood. All the materials I used to make these pieces where single use pumping products.
In this body of work I am using materials to create sculptural paintings that were all used during my pregnancy and breastfeeding time. Despite all efforts not to use single use plastic I realized how inevitable its use is especially during this sensitive yet challenging period of a woman’s life.
I thought of upcycling and decided to keep all the zip-lock bags I had to use and create this body of work titled “Pumping Bags”.
